Filmemacherin und Aktivistin Kirthi Nath zelebriert in ihrem kurzen Video die Rolle von Frauen für gesellschaftlichen Wandel. Beim Oakland Women’s March wurden die Teilnehmer*innen befragt: »What kind of women do you you want to see in leadership? What are the values you want to see reflected? How can we be the ones we have been waiting for?«
»As the value of women’s leadership and voices come to a forefront, it is also important to look deeper than gender and explore women’s rights and leadership from intersectional, values-based, multi-generational and multi-racial perspectives. This film was birthed from the intention to participate in current day movements and center voices and perspectives usually left on the margins, if included at all. I also beleive that we ALL are the leaders we have been waiting for. For radical transformation and change, we all need to show up.« (Kirthi Nath)
